Golden Milk Recipe
Golden Milk is a warm, spiced beverage that has its roots in Ayurveda and has traditionally been used in India to alleviate ailments such as colds, coughs, inflammation, and joint pain. Chances are you’ve seen a recipe or two for this on social media somewhere as the western world has caught on to the many benefits :)
The benefits come from the main ingredient in golden milk, Turmeric, which has been lauded as a virtual panacea (and not without cause). Turmeric is an anti-oxidant with powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-microbial benefits. Doesn’t that sound like something we could all use right now?
Combined with spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger, this beverage also supports digestion, increases circulation, and helps to clear congestion.
