Perfect Spiced Oatmeal
Oatmeal no longer has to be bland nor overly sugary and sweet. It can be warming, flavorful, nourishing, and even texturally interesting! This recipe (or some version of it) is my go-to breakfast during the Fall and Winter months.
I usually change it up a little each day just to keep things interesting and I encourage you to do the same.
Try adding cloves and nutmeg. Licorice powder* is one of my favorite herbs to bring in during the Fall and Winter, as it supports respiratory health, something we all need a bit more of in the colder months.
Top with nuts, coconut flakes, and ceylon cinnamon (good for blood sugar regulation).
